Hello,

The address for the forum was listed in Crayford Convertible Car Club (CCCC) magazine this quarter so I thought I'd register and have a look. Good to see a section for the Heinz's

My Wife owns 828 and we live in Chester.

A few Photos.

828 now

(IMG:http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z229/bill773mini/Heinz/DSCN2618.jpg)

As found in 1995

(IMG:http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z229/bill773mini/Heinz/828d-22.jpg)

And in 1966 as one of the prize 57 cars.

Fantastic bill, those official bods in the last pic look like they've stepped out of 1946 not 66 (IMG:http://www.wolseleyforum.com/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Did you get a hamper with the car or were they second prize?

Hello Bill and welcome to The Wolseley Forum,

It is wonderful to see another Heinz Hornet and she looks to be in super condition. Judging by the picture of when the car was red, it would appear it had led a hard life before you acquired her.

As Danny says, the gentlemen in the last picture look very austere for the swinging '60s.

We have many members in the North West of England (including Mrs Nishka and I) and there are a lot of activities planned for 2012. You, your wife and of course your Heinz Hornet are more than welcome to join in with us at any time. I do hope that I can get to see your car 'in the flesh' soon.

In the meantime, welcome aboard and enjoy the Forum.

All 57 of the prize cars came with the items in the top promotional poster, hamper, kettle, blanket, pull out Pye radio & fitted Max Factor make up tray.

I have managed to get hold of all of these special items over the years.

Yes they still know there are some around but don't really have any interest in them. I and a few fellow owners have been in touch with them over the years asking for info or if they have any bits etc. They have always been very helpful. Even sent some copies of the adverts etc from the time.

Hi, I'm restoring a Wolseley Hornet Heinz and was wondering if anyone has any photos &/or descriptions of the insulated food boxes that were included with the prize cars. Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the Wolseley Forum Sonyak and great to hear you are restoring a Wolseley Heinz Hornet.

As Paul says, do post a picture/s in due course. It would be good to see your Heinz Hornet.

Great to have you aboard. Enjoy the Forum.
