We are delighted to announce that Sir Charles and Lady Wolseley have honoured the Wolseley Forum, by agreeing to support the Forum with their patronage.

Sir Charles is the 11th Baronet of Wolseley, Staffordshire. The Baronetcy was created in the Baronetage of England on 24 November 1628 for Robert Wolseley, the member of an ancient Staffordshire family and a Colonel in Charles I's army. The second Baronet represented Oxfordshire, Staffordshire and Stafford in the House of Commons and was a member of Oliver Cromwell's House of Lords. The sixth Baronet was a Gentleman of the Privy Chamber to King George III. The family seat was at Wolseley Park, Rugeley, Staffordshire. The old house Wolseley Hall was demolished in 1954 and the estate was sold in 1996.

Sir Charles, who became the 11th Baronet in 1954, is a qualified chartered surveyor and lists shooting, fishing and watercolour painting, amongst his recreations. He and Lady Wolseley are keen Wolseley vehicle enthusiasts and regularly attend, as guests of honour, the Annual Rally of the Wolseley Register, for whom they are also patrons.

I am sure you will all agree that we are very privileged indeed to have Sir Charles and Lady Wolseley as our Patrons and we thank them for this honour.

Nishka

May I Extend the Warmiest of Welcomes to Our New Patrons Sir Charles and Lady Wolseley. We are indeed indebted to them for lending Their Patronage to the Forum.
The Forum has most assuredly reached very many people and I hope that it will continue to flourish and grow.

I'm really delighted as well.
Anyone knows the link (if there is anyone) between Sir Charles and F. York Wolseley, the founder of the Wolseley ?

Having met and spent some time in conversation with Sir Charles and Lady Wolseley at the National, both Anita and myself would like to say what a charming and pleasant couple they are.
