Any details of what a Nine roof should look like or any drawings or photos of a sliding roof would be most helpful as we are trying to fabricate a new sliding roof for my Nine but we don't have a pattern to copy from.

Hello Northscott and welcome to the Wolseley Forum,

The sliding roof on your Wolseley Nine is known as a Pytchley Sunshine roof and was fitted to many contemporary cars of the period. There has been a post on this subject here.

Do you have any pictures of your Nine, that you could share will us all? It would be great to see the progress you are making, in getting another Wolseley back on the road.

One or two of our members have either remade or recovered their roofs and may be able to help you with pictures of the process.

In the meantime, welcome aboard and enjoy the Forum.

Thankyou very much for the warm welcome to the forum.
I have posted a couple of pictures of my Nine on this site but unfortunately my camera is broken at the moment, but on going photos of the restoration would be interesting to have to look back on in the future, so I must get the camera fixed.
We have spoken to a couple of coachbuilders, but they are more familiar with covering roofs over than installing new ones.
Any close up photos of roofs would be a great help and particularly the Pytchley roof that was mentioned in one of your posts.
Many thanks Jim MacGregor (Northscott)

Naysay away Tim (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) , you know more about the Nine than I, I assumed that as the Wasp was derived from the Nine and has a Pychley, then the Nine had one as well. Tim would it be possible for you to put your pictures in an album in the Gallery and then they will be available for anyone in the same situation.

Alternatively, if you email them to me I can put them in for you and link back to this post.

So only the passengers got the benefit from the sun! Poor old front seat driver and passenger must have developed a vitamin D deficiency over there!!
