Evenin all

My 59 Oxford uses SF80s as do many many other vehicles. I have located a pair of new-old-stock SF100s and wonder if these would fit and work? The vendor is speculating that because they are in black cases (?) they may simply be an SF80 with different boxing. I have no idea but wondered if anyone here has a lucas catalogue that would say which vehicles the SF 100 will fit.

Cheers!
Martin

SF100 is basically an SF80 in a box - what was called an "exterior fitting".

My 1934 21/60 has a pair of Lucas 28A Trafficators, one of which is badly damaged. Surely someone out there has one I could buy for something less than and arm and a leg...........?

The actuator mechanism works fine, but the arm and plastic 'lens' are beyond help.

Wow! That lens is a remarkable shape!
I wonder what sort of plastic it is?

What other vehicles was this type of trafficator shared with?

Have you asked an engineer if they can fix the metal arm?
Not sure what you would do about the lens, short of commissioning a mould to make new reproduction lenses...

Yep, many thanks mate....... so the zillion dollar question is, can it be removed from the box and fitted into the mounting of an SF 80 :-)

The answer to my later question (can the SF80 be removed from the SF100 box) is yes. I've found (and bought) a pair of new-old-stock SF100s which the seller has helpfully extracted the SF80 part from its housing for me, so mucho thanks to P45 for the advice on this, most appreciated!

Cheers!
Martin

Have you thought about getting a new one 3D printed, Steve? Or is the arm & leg you mentioned!?
