Latest 'Wisely' Out Now!

The latest issue of 'Wisely' (no 32), the magazine of The Wolseley Owners Club is out now.

Reading it right now. On page 12, the bottom left hand picture shows some engine blocks. Is that a V8 in the corner?

It could well be a V8 Fred, Wolseley made a number of V8s for the war effort of World War 1 between 1914 and 1918. Which would date this picture to that time.

The company made a 70hp air cooled V8 of a Renault design and of course the four versions of the water cooled V8 licenced from Hispano-Suiza; the 150hp, 180hp and 200hp Python I, II & III and the mighty 210 hp Viper.

According to Mr Clausager's new book, a fascinating and thoroughly good read (see here), the Wolseley company produced around 2906 V8 during this period.
