Much has been written about the value of Car Clubs and in particular Classic/Veteran/Vintage and the knowledge which is shared amongst their members in aiding and assisting each other in a common goal. That goal, to preserve a very pivotal link in the development of Motoring and all the advances that have come about as a consequence of the Internal Combustion Engine and Mobility for the Masses.

Laterally with the development of the Worldwide Web, mediums such as this have and are proving to be an invaluable tool and resource in assisting both men and women and indeed younger people in their individual efforts with their particular project and goal. As with any Organization be it loose or bound by strict governance, certain etiquettes and standards should to be maintained, however we must not lose sight of the fact that we are sharing a common goal, preservation of Motoring History in an ever changing environment. As with any Group strong personalities can rise to the top, which is fine provided sight is not lost of the fact that we are all sharing a Common Goal.

The life blood of a Club or Organisation of like minded people with differing personalities sharing a Common Goal, is balance and an ability to see and share another's point of view and not to harbour a sense of one up man ship, which has proved destructive to other mediums. Of course levity and good humour will help us along the way coupled with temperate, sober and healthy debate. This Forum has, in my opinion been that invaluable resource and let us continue in that spirit of unity and sincerity in the preservation of Wolseley and indeed other marques, always maintaining a mutual respect for each other, whose point of view, on other issues might be massively divergent from the one we share.
